ERIC DURAK, M.S. received his Master of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1986. After coming to California he took continuing education courses in Professional Writing at the University of California, Santa Barbara and Public Health at Loma Linda University.
He later worked at top conditioning centers which included Sports Training Institute, New York City and at the Santa Barbara Athletic Club in California. He also did medical research in diabetes at the Santa Barbara Sansum Medical Research Foundation. Since 1992, he has been the Director of Medical Health and Fitness, a consulting firm dedicated to incorporating and promoting exercise within the health care system.
Eric’s research experience in cancer started in 1994 with the advent of an exercise program in Santa Barbara. Since that time over 50 participants have gone through this unique program. It has generated 4 national abstracts and 5 medical articles. Eric has previously published scientific articles in Journals such as: The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Diabetes Care, The Diabetes Educator, Rehab Management, Sports Medicine, Training, Rehabiliatation, The Somatics Journal, as well as numerous magazine articles. He is the author of Cancer Exercise, Wellness and Rehabilitation and 5 clinical booklets, all published in 1996.
